We are located in South Central Texas. We moved from Houston to our farm 18 years ago. The same farm where my husband grew up. We had the normal things.. cattle, dogs, cats, ducks and chickens
A little over 15 years ago a neighbor down the road called me and said she had a little goat whose mother |
| had died. She was only a few hours old. She said she couldn't care for her, and asked if I would take her. Never having seen a goat in person, I went and got her. That is where my love affair with goats began. We started slowly, and worked our way to a herd of around 75. I know we made every mistake that was possible to make. But through mistakes I have learned about goats, and their proper care. |
| We have culled heavily, and now have a herd we are very proud of. We have full blood Boer goats. We also have LaMancha dairy goats to supplement our babies. We have a CL &CAE free herd, and follow a strict vaccination and worming program. In the past two years our goats have won three Grand Champions, two Reserve Grand Champions, over 15 first places, and many other placings. In addition to our goats, we breed, sell and use registered Anatolian Shepherd and Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dogs. We also have a special love for our Chinese Pugs, which we also breed, raise and sell. |
